The Reduced Shakespeare Company played three comedies in repertory at the Criterion every week:

The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare (Abridged) is a hilarious high-speed romp through all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays (and 154 sonnets) in 97 minutes. Othello becomes a Hip-Hop track, Titus Andronicus a cookery programme, and all the Histories are performed as a football game.

The Complete History of America (abridged) is a delightful mutilation of 500 years from Columbus to Clinton, from the Great Plains to the Bush(es).

The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged): Let the bad boys of abridgement save you from damnation as they deliver chapter and verse in this hysterical tribute to the good book.
